Form a squad
Create one and invite friends with an 8-character share code. Codes rotate every 7 days and cap their redemptions, so a leak in a group chat stops working.
Compete. Explore. Connect.
You compete as a squad, against other squads. Points come from turnout: how many of the people who said they would come actually showed up.
Create or join a squad, plan something at a real place, show up, and let the server score the hangout.

Pick a place through Apple Maps, pin it, and let squadmates RSVP. The hangout has a real address, not a vague maybe.
3
GPS check-in unlocks within 250 metres of the pin. Being further away is treated as not there yet, not as an error.

After the hangout ends, the server scores it. Squads rank worldwide and in your country, weekly and all-time.
The distinctive parts are turnout scoring and a map of what is actually happening. Everything else supports those two.
Scoring is settled entirely on the server after the hangout ends. Turnout drives the score, so a squad where everyone turns up scores dramatically more than one where half drift off.
Activities appear as branded pins, filterable by type. Tap one for details. If it belongs to a squad you are not in, you can request to join.
A thread per squad, a thread per activity, and direct messages. DMs open automatically between people who already share a squad. Typing indicators, unread badges, and read state are included.
This is the honest version. Nobody on the client awards the score. After the window closes, the server looks at who RSVP’d and who checked in, then writes the result once.
Full turnout scores in a different league from a half-empty room. Filling the room is the whole game.
A hangout with a single check-in does not score. It has to be a meetup, not a solo pin drop.
Drift off for three weeks or more, then show up again, and the squad still gets a comeback bonus. Leaving does not lock you out.
